Silent Hope Gaming

I got a game in Friday night, it was 2v2 20 points a side. I played my cygnar with my wife and her circle. We played against 2 of the veteran players down at the LFGS with there troll bloods and legion. The game was bloody, we called it when it got late but there were only 12 models on the board, 4 of them were ours, all my wife's, which included her warlock, 2 shifting stones, and a mostly unhurt feral warpwolf. We were playing anniolation, it would have been interesting to see how it would have ended. I can complain about my showing, I bottled up most of both forces, and in the end had a caster kill run on Thagrosh with pStryker and pulled it off. I was a good night for all.

So I added a second wash on the HPA, and then assembled 40 skaven slaves on Sunday, in between chores. I am working on another project to put up here, when I have some time I am going to put it up. Here are some pictures of what I have done.

Got a game in at the FLGS. Played a two on one with the wife against a veteran player of the area. Learned a lot of new things first of most, read your cards all the way though and know them well. Second remember the feat, and third is that the order of activation in warmachine is everything. I would have lost horrifically if it weren't for the wife, she pulled it out in the end. That's all for tonight.

Well, it has been a while since I updated. I am going to try and update more regularly. I am still strugling with the camera situation, but I have a picture of the hellpit abomination I am working on. I hope to get a game in of warmachine tomorrow, and I hope to get the game I get down. Here is the work in progress.

As of December of last year I started playing Warmachine. I started playing Warmachine because my wife had talked about learning a miniature war game, and I thought Warmachine would be an easy intro to the whole thing, and I wanted to start playing. I did not know weather she wanted to play Hordes or Warmachine, so i picked up the faction from each that I thought she would like. So I picked up a Battle box for Circle of Oborose and a Lord of the Feast, and The Battle box for Cygnar and the Black 13th. She loved the Circle models, so i got to play with the Cygnar. Since recently moved and Warmachine is played more than WFB, so i have started painted it in earnest. I have started painted the Lancer, because he has a shield, and I hate painted shields when they are glued to the model. Here is a work in progress pic, and I am sorry for the quality, I only have a phone camera to work with since our digital camera broke this week. I hope to get the wife a DSLR sometime soon, and when I do I will upgrade the quality of the pics.

I am starting this blog to be a gaming and hobby blog for the miniature war games that I play. The three games that I play right now are Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine, and Dystopian Wars. This is mostly a tool to keep me on task, with the rest of my life finding time for the hobby can be a little difficult. So here is the beginning.
